Attorney Services Disclosure
This disclosure explains how the U.S. Attorney Letter ($250) and the International Attorney Letter ($300) work. It is provided by ANSSPVT LLC d/b/a Send My Demand Co. ("Send My Demand," "we," "us," or "our").
1. Two separate roles
The independent attorney is a lawyer licensed in the United States who is not employed by Send My Demand. The attorney:
- reviews your information and evidence;
- decides what the letter may properly say;
- drafts and revises it with you; and
- signs it.
The attorney makes every legal judgment independently. Send My Demand does not direct or control that judgment.
Send My Demand provides the technology and administrative services around the attorney's work:
- the online intake;
- the case file and document storage;
- assigning your case to an attorney;
- the messaging and signature tools;
- taking payment; and
- printing, mailing and tracking.
Send My Demand is not a law firm and does not give legal advice.
2. The attorney agreement
Before an attorney works on your matter, you sign an attorney agreement in the portal. That agreement:
- names the attorney;
- describes the limited scope of the legal services (one demand letter);
- sets out the legal fee; and
- sets out the attorney's and your responsibilities.
Your attorney-client relationship is with that attorney only, only for that scope, and only once the agreement is signed and its conditions (including payment) are met.
Which document controls: your attorney agreement controls the legal services, the legal fee, the attorney's duties and the attorney-client relationship. If it conflicts with our Terms of Use on any of those subjects, the attorney agreement controls. Our Terms control your use of our website and portal and our administrative services. Nothing in our Terms or policies limits the attorney's professional obligations to you.
3. Fees
| Order | Administrative service fee (Send My Demand) | Legal fee (attorney) |
|---|---|---|
| U.S. Attorney Letter, $250 | $125 | $125 |
| International Attorney Letter, $300 | $150 | $150 |
You pay the total in one card payment, processed by Send My Demand through Stripe. Send My Demand passes the legal fee to the attorney and keeps no part of it. The attorney receives no part of the administrative fee.
The legal fee is earned as the attorney performs the legal services, and any part that has not been earned is refunded as the attorney's professional rules require. See our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
4. Licensing and other countries
Each attorney is licensed in particular U.S. jurisdictions. An attorney will provide a service only where they may lawfully and competently do so, and may decline a matter.
The International Attorney Letter is for customers who live outside the United States. It is prepared by a U.S.-licensed attorney and is not legal representation or advice under the law of another country.
5. What is not included
Unless you and the attorney agree otherwise in a separate signed writing, the engagement does not include:
- filing a lawsuit or claim;
- going to court;
- negotiating after the letter;
- responding to the recipient;
- settlement documents; or
- monitoring deadlines.
The letter does not guarantee any result.
6. Confidential information
The information you share for an Attorney Letter goes to the assigned attorney and to Send My Demand staff who need it to run the service. We protect it as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Reassignment and declines
An attorney may decline a case. If that happens before work starts, we offer to assign another attorney or give you a full refund. If your case is reassigned, the new attorney's agreement or terms are shown to you as required.
